The Soundcraft LX9 24 is a 24-channel professional mixing console developed by Soundcraft for markets requiring maximum input capacity at an accessible price. Evolved from the hugely successful LX7 and styled after the MH3 and MH4 touring consoles, the LX9 upgrades the concept with new GB30 Series mic preamps and a GB30 4-band EQ, both designed by Soundcraft founder Graham Blyth. The GB30 preamp brings touring-console quality gain staging to an affordable desk, while the 4-band EQ adds two sweepable mid sections (80 Hz – 1.9 kHz and 550 Hz – 13 kHz) for precise tonal control, with steeper-than-usual slopes on the fixed LF and HF sections to remove unwanted mid-frequency congestion. The console mixes to seven outputs — four subgroups plus Left, Right, and Centre (Mono) for centre clusters — with six auxes for effects and foldback.
