The Allen & Heath GL2400-24 is a dual-function 24-channel analog live console and the successor to the industry-standard GL2200. Equally at home mixing front-of-house or monitors, it is a workhorse for venues, houses of worship, touring bands and rental stock across Kenya. The frame provides 22 mono mic/line channels plus 2 mic/dual-stereo channels, with 4 groups, 6 auxiliary sends and a 7x4 matrix for zone feeds, broadcast and personal monitoring. The mic preamp delivers extended gain with massive headroom for signals up to +34 dBu, feeding a responsive 4-band EQ with two sweepable mids and 100 Hz high-pass filters. When mixing FOH, monitor sends can be set pre-insert as well as pre-EQ; in monitor mode the aux masters gain faders, inserts, mutes, meters and balanced XLR drive, allowing up to 10 mixes such as six wedges and two stereo IEM feeds. Three master faders cover L, R and a configurable M bus that can serve as an LR sum mono fill, an engineer's wedge feed or an aux-fed sub-bass or centre mix, each with its own meter, mute, AFL and balanced XLR output.
